As I lie on the floor in a puddle of blood,
I think about the hurt and the pain and about what's to gain.
"Will my friends worry?  Will he think I'm crazy?", I ask myself.
"What if I don't get out alive?  Will I be letting my loved ones down?"
Over and over these thoughts race through my head like an athlete in a marathon.
Running faster and faster just to be in first place.
So many questions left unanswered, so many things left unsaid.
"Does he know I love him?  Does he even care?"
It seems like he does, but when the subject arises, he just falls silent.
His eyes glaze over, and I can feel his once warm, loving heart turn ice cold.
No, colder than ice.  Unexplainable.
That's how cold.
How I've longed to tell him how I feel, but when I get close, he seems to drift farther away.
I can barely see him now, he is just a blip on the radar in this hell we call life.
"Why me God? Why me?", I scream.
I'm so outraged.  I just want it to stop.
Then suddenly, it's nothing but a black hole.
